Manchester City take the field for the first time since securing the Premier League title as they welcome Swansea City on Sunday.
For City, nothing. They are the champs. For Swansea, the team is four points clear of the drop zone and a draw here will feel like a win. But if they can get three points, they will be close to ensuring safety.

Manchester City will officially begin the celebration of the Premier League title with a match against Swansea City at Etihad. Pep Guardiola and his men will lift the trophy in a few weeks and this will be the start of the party. The game doesn’t matter for City in terms of the table (for obvious reasons), but Swansea still need a win to confirm their place in the division and will see this as a big opportunity to get three points.
So what will Pep and his boys play for? Premier League Records. Maybe 100 points? Maybe 100 goals? Maybe a lot more? It starts with a big win on Sunday. Let’s see if they can get it.
Manchester City play their first game since being confirmed as champions when they welcome Swansea City to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
City’s win over Tottenham last week, coupled with rivals Manchester United’s loss against bottom club West Bromwich Albion meant that Pep Guardiola’s men were crowned as champions with five games to play.

Swansea, meanwhile, will be looking to try and spoil the party, and move themselves away from the dreaded relegation zone. Carlos Carvalhal’s men currently sit in 17th place in the table, just four points clear of the bottom three.
Here is everything you need to know about Sunday’s Premier League meeting.
With their Champions League aspirations gone in a flash of red and white for the second season running, all that is left for Manchester City is to revel in their Premier League success, and try to further underline their current dominance of the English top flight. 100 goals and 100 points are targets that are still within reach, and Pep Guardiola’s men would love to enhance their margin of victory over city rivals Manchester United.

It’s rare for a team of such quality to slip to three successive home defeats in all competitions, but that is the fate which has befallen City. Losses to Basel, Liverpool and Manchester United have opened up the possibility of the Citizens losing four in a row at home for the first time in nearly 12 years, but last weekend’s highly impressive 3-1 win over Spurs at Wembley was a truer reflection of the champions’ qualities.
The Opta stats should give City fans plenty of encouragement. City have won their last 11 home games against Swansea in the league, including all six of their Premier League clashes in Manchester. Pep Guardiola has never lost back-to-back home games in the Premier League, Bundesliga or indeed in La Liga.

Sergio Aguero is out for the rest of the season after knee surgery, but Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus is proving to be an exciting stand-in. He has been involved in 22 goals in his 23 Premier League starts. Influential and perhaps under-rated midfield regulator Fernandinho is suspended.

Swansea boss Carlos Carvalhal has charmed the Premier League with smiles and the entertaining analogies for which he is now famous, but beneath that jovial exterior lies a coach who has showed he can get the best out of a squad that was tumbling towards disaster when he took charge.
Now the Swans are four points clear of the bottom three, and this trip to the Etihad is effectively a free hit, with almost all of the other teams in the relegation battle having played more games. Given that the south Wales side have lost just two of their last 11 Premier League games, they may feel they can snatch a result. However, it’s worth bearing in mind that Swansea lost 3-0 to Spurs and 2-0 at Manchester United last month, and they have only won twice on their travels all season.
Defender Mike van der Hoorn is battling to be fit after a shoulder injury, while Luciano Narsingh is a doubt after he was withdrawn at half-time of the draw with Everton.

Swans to come up short Manchester City have nothing else to play for, and therefore there is no reason to expect them to ease off here. They were excellent against Spurs last weekend, and it’s worth noting that they bashed the Swans 4-0 in the reverse fixture.
Swansea have made great strides since Carvalhal’s arrival, but getting a result at the Etihad should be beyond them, and they’re not alone in that category.
City are prohibitively short for the win at 1.15, so instead I’d back a Man City/Over 3.5 Goals double at 2.10 on the Sportsbook. There have been at least four goals in seven of City’s last 12 Premier League matches.

Sane to make his point as World Cup looms Manchester City forward Leroy Sane has had an outstanding season, and that will be no surprise to fans of German football. His pace, directness and eye for goal were there for all to see in his time at Schalke, and Pep Guardiola’s pin-sharp analysis of his game has enhanced all of those qualities.
Sane needs to go up a further gear to catch the eye of Germany boss Joachim Loew ahead of the World Cup, and if he starts, he’s certainly worth backing at 2.80 to score in 90 minutes. He’s scored 13 goals in all competitions, and he continually gets himself into good scoring positions.
